This stage of the project aimed to expand the team by including other invited artists and to begin a deeper journey through Tierra del Fuego, by land and by sea, reaching Cape Horn Island.

Tierra del Fuego
Our journey began with the establishment of a base at the ENAP camp. Tests were carried out on wind oscillators in alternative formats, and we then headed south toward Karukinka Park.

In Karukinka, we tested the kite from the project “Centre and Periphery” by Paul Gründorfer, using recordings at the summit of Cerro Tortuga in Karukinka Park.

Cape Horn
We established camp in Puerto Williams and Bahía Róbalo. Artist Angélica Castelló conducted a workshop with children from the Donald McIntyre Griffiths High School.

In Bahía Róbalo, we installed the second version of the wind oscillators before departing for Cape Horn.

After a week of preparation, we navigated to Cape Horn Island. The three-day artistic residency extended to 12 days due to storms that prevented rescue for more than a week.
The wind oscillator installation 888 was mounted after investigating wind patterns and local fauna. The structure was assembled to withstand winds exceeding 120 km/h.
